Afterlife Ver. 1.0
“Collector — Afterlife” deals with an artificial afterlife by means of attracting insects with lamp, provided an electric shock with a high voltage circuitry to attack those little creatures in order to transfer that essence of life into a virtual environment that makes out my collection.

Description: “Life is life, it’s nothing about size, surface, scale…… ”
In this Project I try to reduce and magnify the scale of life, let this work can collect life by itself and transfer into a virtual environment to create a kind of afterlife. The virtual environment is a game called “life invader”. On the device, there is a display shows the amount of life collected by installation, and this amount will be the hero’s life of this game. So if audience plays the game and lose the life of hero, the number shows on the display will be decreased. When the number turns to “0”, that means the installation have to collect new life for continuing the game.
real life <—> afterlife in the virtual world
An anti-insects lamp contains high voltage circuit. Let it able to count how many insects it killed. The amount will be showed on the installation. It collects real life, and transfer them into a game to represent them become afterlife. The game is called “LifeInvaders”, an old fashion game clone from spaceinvader. The only different is human characters instead of those invaders, and the hero instead of insect. Audiences will control the insect to against humans, if the amount shows on the installation turns to “0”, the game will stop and the installation needs to collect new life.
